Job description
As a Technical Project Manager – DACH
you are the person who brings structure and calm to complex IoT projects – without slowing things down. You keep track of the big picture whilst also understanding the technical details. From hardware and firmware to connectivity, the cloud and integrations: you ensure that everything works seamlessly together, not just in theory but in practice too. You understand how technical decisions influence scope, planning, risks and customer expectations. You don’t need to write code yourself, but you are technically savvy enough to ask the right questions, identify dependencies and fully grasp technical implications. You switch effortlessly between a strategic overview and operational depth, and know how to translate commercial goals into realistic and actionable project plans. In the DACH region, you will be responsible for the implementation and scaling of complex client projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In this role, you will represent our head office in ’s-Hertogenbosch and work closely with the Commercial Director to further expand our presence in the region. You know that growth is good – but only if the execution is as strong as the ambition.
What will you be doing?
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the implementation and scaling of complex technical client projects in the DACH region.
You will ensure clear governance, transparent coordination and predictable delivery – without unnecessarily holding teams back.
You will coordinate hardware, firmware, connectivity, cloud and integrations, ensuring that all technical components work together seamlessly. You will work closely with clients, internal teams and external stakeholders, continuously balancing expectations, planning, scope and risks.
You will translate commercial agreements into realistic project implementation and, where necessary, confidently set clear boundaries.
You will identify dependencies, bottlenecks and risks at an early stage and act proactively to avoid escalations or delays.
You stay closely attuned to the content, delve into requirements and technical implications, and ensure that decisions are well-founded.
You work closely with the Commercial Director to not only successfully implement projects in the DACH market, but also to make them scalable and future-proof.
You represent our organisation to clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and build long-term relationships based on trust, clarity and technical expertise.
You switch effortlessly between focusing on the details and maintaining an overview, and remain calm and decisive even in complex or challenging project situations.
Job requirements
Who you are
You are the calm, astute constant amidst the chaos: you link technical decisions to scope, risks and planning, listen properly, ask the ‘uncomfortable but necessary’ questions, and navigate confidently between engineering, clients and commercial stakeholders.
When things get complex, you make decisions, bring structure across teams, spot problems before they escalate, and have enough influence to prevent scope from turning into a wish list — without needing a fancy title to do so.
You have at least 7 years’ experience in programme or project management within FMCG supply chain, retail logistics, pooling or asset-intensive operational environments
You have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple parallel projects and achieving measurable results.
You possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
You have a solid understanding of project governance, risk management and structured reporting.
You are familiar with Agile, PRINCE2 or hybrid delivery methods.
You have experience in a senior, independent role in a regional or international context.
You possess a strong operational and commercial understanding and have experience with customer-focused projects, business cases and delivering value.
You are based in Germany (ideally centrally located for travel within the DACH region).
