Job description
Project Manager Supply Chain Technology - (DACH)
You know what it takes to make complex supply chain operations work in the real world. Not just on slides. Not just in project plans. But in warehouses, distribution centres, pooling networks, retail flows and FMCG environments where volume, timing, reliability and stakeholder alignment actually matter.
As our Project Manager Supply Chain Technology for the DACH region, you will lead the implementation and scaling of IoT solutions for major FMCG, retail logistics and pooling clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
You are the link between commercial ambition and operational reality. You understand how supply chain processes work, how FMCG organisations make decisions, and how technology can improve visibility, asset flows, availability and control. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you do need to be technically savvy enough to understand the impact of hardware, firmware, connectivity, cloud platforms and integrations on scope, planning, risk and customer expectations.
In this role, you represent Connected Load Carrier in the DACH market. You work closely with our Commercial Director and our teams in ’s-Hertogenbosch to make sure client projects are delivered professionally, predictably and with enough structure to scale. Growth is great. Growth without execution? Less cute.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and scaling of technical client projects in the DACH region, with a strong focus on FMCG, retail logistics, pooling and asset-intensive supply chain environments.
You will:
Lead complex implementation projects for FMCG, retail logistics and pooling clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Translate commercial agreements into realistic project plans, clear milestones, practical scope and measurable delivery.
Coordinate the implementation of IoT solutions across hardware, firmware, connectivity, cloud, dashboards and integrations.
Work closely with clients, internal technical teams and external partners to keep planning, scope, expectations and risks under control.
Ensure clear governance, structured reporting and transparent decision-making throughout the project.
Identify dependencies, bottlenecks and risks early, before they become expensive surprises.
Challenge unrealistic assumptions and set clear boundaries when needed, in a professional and constructive way.
Stay close to the operational reality of the client: distribution centres, logistics hubs, retail flows, pooling networks and supply chain processes.
Build strong long-term relationships with German-speaking clients based on trust, clarity and operational credibility.
Work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure that projects in the DACH market are not only delivered successfully, but are also scalable and future-proof.
Job requirements
Who you are
You are driven, result-oriented and know the FMCG, retail logistics, pooling or supply chain segment from the inside. You understand the pace, pressure and complexity of high-volume operational environments, and you know how to turn client needs into clear actions, realistic planning and measurable results.
For this role, we are specifically looking for someone who:
Speaks and writes German at native level.
Has proven experience in FMCG, retail logistics, pooling or supply chain operations.
Understands what clients in this market need: reliability, scalability, visibility and strong execution.
Takes ownership, creates momentum and makes sure things get done.
Translates client needs and commercial agreements into realistic actions, clear planning and measurable results.
Knows how to ask the right questions, align the right people and keep projects moving when things become complex.
Is comfortable working with technology-driven solutions such as IoT, tracking, visibility platforms, data or digital supply chain tools.
Combines strong segment knowledge with execution power.
About us
At Connected Load Carrier, we believe a truly connected supply chain requires more than smart devices or powerful software. It requires a reliable, scalable ecosystem built for the complexity of retail, FMCG, logistics and pooling.
Our headquarters are based in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, where around 70 professionals are already working hard on the development, production and scaling of our IoT solutions. From hardware and firmware to connectivity, cloud platforms, data and customer-facing applications: within Bright Technology Ventures, we bring the full IoT chain together under one roof.
And we are growing internationally. We recently opened a hub in the UK and a hub in Frankfurt to strengthen our presence in key European markets. In the DACH region, you will become part of a small but ambitious regional team, working closely with the Regional Commercial Director and a Regional Senior Sales Manager.
Connected Load Carrier is part of Bright Technology Ventures, an integrated IoT ecosystem. Our hardware is developed and manufactured in Europe by Dutch IoT Solutions. By developing our own devices, from energy-efficient beacons to advanced asset trackers, we deliver robust solutions with long battery life and reliable performance in high-volume, intensive-use environments.
In short: we connect physical assets to digital intelligence, so supply chain organisations know where their assets are, how they move, where exceptions occur and how they can make better decisions.
What we offer
A key role within our supply chain, with a direct impact on costs, supplier strategy and delivery reliability;
Working in a scale-up: short lines of communication, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to adapt quickly;
Competitive terms of employment in line with the phase we are in as a company (i.e. scale-up);
Collaboration with driven professionals who prioritise substance over hierarchy;
Naturally, there is room for ideas, improvement and healthy technical ownership;
30 free days per year (based on fulltime employment);
Flexible way of working in an environment that’s building it’s way. So you’re welcome to help us shape it.
Interested?
Do you see yourself as the person who brings control, structure and focus to our organisation? And do you get a buzz from smart procurement, strong supplier relationships and creating stability in a dynamic scale-up environment? Then we’d love to meet you! Still have a question?
