Technical Project Manager
- Hybrid
- 's Hertogenbosch, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands
You bring overview to complex IoT implementations for FMCG and supply chain customers. From customer question to working solution: hardware, software, data and ERP/WMS integrations.
Job description
You as our Technical Project Manager
You get your energy from complex technical projects where a lot comes together at once. A customer question, different systems, hardware, software, data, integrations, and a range of people who are all needed to get to a working solution. That's exactly where you bring overview.
You step in as soon as it's clear what we want to achieve together with the customer. From that moment on, you turn the question into reality. You want to understand what the customer's environment looks like, what happens operationally and what's technically needed to make our solution work well there. You ask questions, dive into the details and make sure all the pieces of the puzzle come together in the end.
You don't need to be a technical specialist yourself. But you are technical enough to really understand our Business Solutions, to see the connections between hardware, software, connectivity, data and integrations, and to ask the right questions. When specialist knowledge is needed, you know who to bring in. Your strength lies in the combination: you understand the customer and their business, you speak enough of our technical teams' language, and you know how to bring those two worlds together.
Many of our customers operate in FMCG and complex supply chains. Everything there is constantly moving, and a technical choice can directly affect day-to-day operations. Experience in this world helps you enormously, because understanding why we implement something matters, not just how.
What will you be doing?
You're the central point of contact for the customer and the linchpin between all teams in a project. You switch between a workshop with the customer ("What is this actually supposed to solve?") and a technical deep-dive with engineering ("Why isn't this data coming through in the WMS?").
Customer case & technical application
You map out the customer question, the use case and the customer environment. You determine which Business Solution or combination of building blocks fits, and make sure the solution matches what was agreed and is technically feasible.Requirements & technical coordination
You make functional and technical requirements complete and testable. You translate them into work packages, milestones and acceptance criteria. You keep track of the dependencies between hardware, software, connectivity, data and external systems such as ERP, WMS and TMS.End-to-end project management
You own the entire journey: from the handover of the business case through implementation, acceptance and handover. You keep an eye on scope, planning, budget, quality, capacity and risks, and you spot deviations before they become a problem.Implementation, testing & acceptance
You organise and guide installation, configuration, integration and testing on site with the customer. A phase only moves forward once the deliverables demonstrably meet the agreed criteria.Risks & issues
You actively track risks and issues and make sure every issue has an owner, an action and a deadline. You escalate to the Project Lead in good time and bring in the Head of Delivery or a specialist when the technology calls for it.Customer & stakeholders
You manage expectations around scope, planning and dependencies. You bring commercial, technical and operational colleagues together around the project. You record agreements and follow up on them.Documentation & improvement
You keep the project documentation complete, also with ISO 9001 and 27001 in mind. You feed lessons learned and customer insights back to Business Solutions, Product and Technology, so every next implementation runs better.
In short: you make sure that what we promise the customer works technically and is delivered on time.
You're part of the Project Management Team within Delivery and report to the Project Lead.
Job requirements
Who are you?
You're someone who likes to understand how things work and gets to the core quickly. You ask the right questions, bring structure to complex situations and keep the overview when many different interests, dependencies and disciplines come together. You're pragmatic: you don't need to have every answer yourself, but you do know what it takes to get to a solution.
You switch easily between different levels and conversation partners, from an in-depth conversation with an engineer about an integration to discussing planning, progress or expectations with a customer. You take responsibility, communicate clearly and make sure agreements are actually followed up.
We think you'll be a great fit for this role if you:
have around 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Delivery, Solution Engineering, Systems Integration or a similar role;
have experience in FMCG, logistics, supply chain or a comparable operational environment, and understand how processes, systems and physical flows of goods come together there;
have guided complex customer implementation projects from start to finish;
are strong at translating business needs into concrete solutions and actions;
have enough technical affinity to understand our IoT solutions and how hardware, software, connectivity, data and integrations fit together;
have experience with technical integrations, APIs and interfaces;
bring experience with ERP, WMS and/or TMS environments;
can steer projects on planning, budget, scope, capacity, quality and risks;
move easily between different stakeholders and technical disciplines;
are strongly analytical, take ownership and like to work hands-on;
speak fluent English.
About us
CONNECTED LOAD CARRIER
A truly connected supply chain takes more than knowing where your assets are. It's about actually using that information to improve your operation. That's where we make the difference at Connected Load Carrier (CLC).
With our Business Solutions, we help organisations in retail, FMCG, logistics and pooling manage their load carriers and other assets more smartly. We show where assets are, how they move through the supply chain, and where loss, downtime or inefficiency occurs. We turn those insights into concrete solutions that help customers improve their processes, lower costs and get a firmer grip on their operation.
To do that, we bring hardware, connectivity, software and data together in one scalable solution that fits the customer's processes and systems. From thousands to millions of assets, and from a single site to international supply chains: our technology has to work in exactly that complex, day-to-day reality.
CLC is part of Bright Technology Ventures (BTV), where different IoT specialisms come together. Our hardware is fully developed by Dutch IoT Solutions (DIS), and we combine that technical expertise with connectivity, data and our own Business Solutions. That means we don't just deliver technology. We deliver the complete solution needed to make physical supply chains truly connected.
What we offer
You'll join an organisation that's very much on the move. We're growing internationally, our customer projects are getting bigger, and meanwhile we keep building every day on how we work together and how we make our solutions smarter and more scalable. That sometimes means switching gears fast, taking on a lot of responsibility and, above all, having plenty of room to make your own mark.
We like short lines of communication and people who simply walk into each other's office when something needs solving. At our place, substance beats hierarchy, and a good idea really doesn't have to pass five layers before you can get started on it.
And of course, there's something in it for you too:
Plenty of ownership and freedom to shape your role and drive improvements;
Working with driven professionals who love sharing knowledge and getting things done together;
Competitive terms of employment that fit an international scale-up;
An annual bonus of up to 10% of your gross annual salary, linked to our bonus targets;
Flexible working hours and the option to work hybrid. Of course we'd love to see you regularly at our office in 's-Hertogenbosch, and the Brabant gezelligheid comes free of charge;
A lease car, since in this role you'll regularly be out at customers and implementation sites;
A flexible number of holidays: we think it's more important that you take responsibility for your work than that we count your days off;
A shared lunch every day, where the conversation thankfully often turns to something other than work;
Team outings, drinks on Thursday or Friday and plenty of room for fun alongside the hard work;
The option to join our bike plan;
A travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometre or an NS Business Card;
A contribution to your pension.
